The Lavaugarde Mill, in Thauron

Nestled in the heart of the peaceful countryside , this old mill on the water's edge offers a haven of tranquility without any vis-à-vis.

Overlooking the green valleys of the Creuse , near the charming medieval town of Bourganeuf , this gîte is the perfect place for family reunions , meetings with friends or peaceful holidays , without any noise restrictions.

Our house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people (3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom).

On your arrival, for your comfort , the beds will be made and towels will be available to you free of charge.

The mill offers you a large living space including a living room with wood stove and television (access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus), a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen .

Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, each with its own charm, as well as a modern bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, 2 toilets (1 of which is independent) and a washing machine .

To enhance your evenings, a selection of board games is at your disposal, to be enjoyed in front of a comforting fireplace (wood provided).

Pets are welcome in our little corner of paradise (please read the reception conditions in our General Conditions of Sale).

To make your stay as pleasant as possible, end-of-stay cleaning is included.

Located at the gates of the Millevaches regional natural park , just 30 km from the famous Vassivière Lake and 10 km from Bourganeuf.

Shops nearby (bakery, butcher, small grocery store, La Poste, Bar-Tabac, beautician, hairdresser, mechanic, doctor, pharmacy) just 5 km away (Pontarion).

Our mill is nestled in the heart of a region rich in natural, architectural and historical heritage.

Hiking or cycling trails, which we would be happy to provide, invite you to explore the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Thaurion which runs alongside the property, where you can also enjoy fishing in complete privacy (1st category river) - See the website of the Creuse fishing federation .

In addition, just 7 km away, a private pond awaits you for "no-kill" fishing sessions, outdoor leisure activities or a peaceful picnic by the water (from 20 euros per day ).
